What is AAU Baseball?
|
AAU baseball offers the best
competition in the country with teams participating in an off
season training regiment similar to most college baseball
programs. This is a 30-35 scheduled game season that consists
of playing teams from all over New England and is for the
serious ballplayer only. Each team will participate in the
New England Regional Tournament with the opportunity to play
at the National Level. Each team’s coaching will be college
players, college coaches and current or former professional
players. |

Concord Cannons
Baseball Organization
Concord
Cannons AAU Baseball Program is organized and run similar to
most college baseball programs. We teach all our teams, at the
college level. When players get older they are able to execute
better but we teach college level fundamentals. These are the
skills that will allow you to excel in high school and make
playing college a reality. The purpose of this program is to
develop the younger athlete into a complete baseball player.
We will utilize our professional baseball instructors to teach
players how to train and play at a highly competitive level of
baseball. Our program will not only focus on baseball
instruction and training of young athletes, but also stress
the importance of achieving academic excellence in the
classroom.
Our coaching
staff is what will separate us from other traveling baseball
teams. All of our coaches have played in a collegiate baseball
program, with some playing in professional organizations. We
also have a “NO PARENT” coaching philosophy. Concord Cannons
Baseball
Team does not believe in letting parents, of current
players, coach. We believe the inherent conflict of interest
is not good for the coach, the player, the other team members
or the parents. However in a case that a parent is qualified
to coach he may be allowed to coach after his son has left the
program.
Concord
Cannons Baseball Organization is different from community
based baseball programs. Community based baseball programs are
a tribute to the dedication of the volunteers who run them and
the foundation of youth baseball in our country. All of these
programs are participatory and all candidates in community
based baseball programs enjoy the experience it offers. AAU
baseball is for the players who may be seeking to test himself
against advanced competition. Experience tells us that players
play better against stiffer competition.
We believe
strongly that our fall and winter programs are necessary in
competing at a high level therefore it is a required part of
the program with optional attendance. We encourage our players
to play other sports which we believe creates the overall
athlete and a better baseball player therefore if players have
other commitments during the off season we understand. However
during the spring and summer months attendance at practice and
games is mandatory.

Testimonials
To:
Bryan Caruso, Concord Sports Center
The only word
that describes the Concord Cannons baseball
program is, AWESOME. Before your program, we
spent the last two years playing Little
League and AAU in Florida. When we moved
back, I was worried that we would not find a
program that was equal to the ones we left.
I was wrong. We found one better. I am
convinced that Bryan runs a better baseball
program than we had in Florida. His level of
coaching, knowledge and intensity level are
second to none. He is truly a master of the
game and the kids are his students. He has
not only taught my son how to be a better
baseball player, but how to be a better
person on and off the field. By doing this,
my son really respects him as a coach.
Memorial Day weekend, Endicott College,
Beverly Massachusetts. July 4th week,
Baseball Heaven, Long Island, NY. Most
people are at the beach and barbeques. Not
Bryan. He is with a team of 13 year old kids
at baseball tournaments. That’s the
dedication he brings to the team. We
practiced twice a week, sometimes three,
since November and played over forty games.
I believe that is twice what other AAU
programs offer. If your son wants to play
baseball and you want expert coaching then
Bryan Caruso is your man and Concord Sports
Center is your place. I thank you for all
the time and dedication, over and above what
we expected that you put in to my son and
the team.
Thank you.

Bryan,
I just wanted to
thank you for participating in our Memorial
Day tournament. The championship game was
very intense and a well played game. You
have a very good program and great kids.
They were the most respectful team we played
all season and you can tell they were very
well coached. Since the tournament all my
players have been asking me if we can play
the Cannons again and that says a lot about
your program. You guys run a first class
organization and we look forward to playing
your teams in the future.

Bryan,
I just wanted to thank
you for another great season. This is my son's
second season with the Concord Cannon's, we have
both enjoyed having you as a coach over the last two
years. My son has gained confidence and skills that
have improved his performance greatly as a result of
your program. The winter training program with
pitching/hitting/fielding clinics prepared my son to
be ready for the start of the season. My son enjoyed
having the opportunity to play more competitive
baseball in tournaments throughout New England and
most recently in NY. We played over 40 games this
year and he has become a much better all around
athlete both physically and mentally as a result of
your program and coaching.
Thanks again for a great
season and we look forward to next year.
The Krueger's

Dear Concord Sports Center Staff,
Thank
you for putting together a great AAU
program. Watching the kids progress under
your guidance has been a real pleasure. The
boys learned not only how to become better
baseball players, but better young men as
well. Our experience coming from a
southeastern state where baseball is played
year round is one of satisfaction. The
practices were hard with a purpose, yet fun
as well. The quality of the coaches is
second to none. From private lessons to team
workouts all the coaches were great. We
could see the results in our sons
performance on the field all season. The
individual attention given to each player,
and the team as a unit helped to build one
of the top ten ranked U-12 AAU baseball
teams in New England. Great Job!
Mike Dionne
(parent of a member of the U-12 Cannons)

Dear
Bryan,
Thanks to the
Concord Cannons for the opportunity for our
son to play baseball at the highest level in
New England. We are from an area in NH were
Cal Ripken Baseball was our only option.
Since joining the Cannons, our son has
played three times as many games and has
grown as a baseball player due to quality
coaching, competition, and facilities. We
look forward to being a part of the Cannon
program again next year.
Sincerely,
Jamie Arsenault Athletic Director, New
Hampton School
