Rene Chapa has played baseball at the college level as a middle infielder for both San Jacinto Junior College and University of Texas at Brownsville.

After college, Rene was invited to play rookie ball and in independent leagues in Florida and Mexico. From 2004-2008, Rene played with the Houston Apollos and eventually started his coaching career at Stephen F Austin High School in Houston, TX. Rene had coached American Legion Baseball in both Texas and New Hampshire.

Rene is presently the Head Varsity Baseball Coach at Pembroke Academy. His first season with the team, Rene was able to help them remake the playoffs, something they had not done in 6 years.

Rene is looking forward to helping to make baseball in New Hampshire more competitive while helping people reach their goals of continuing their baseball career.
